Ludlow Town took full advantage of hosting bottom-of-the table opponents, Bustlehome, on Saturday by returning to winning ways with a 5-2 victory.
The win doesn't lift them up the table significantly, but it does help them keep clear of relegation places in FTL Futbol Premier Division.
Ludlow Town Reserves made progress in the Shropshire Junior Cup when they beat Bishop's Castle 8-4 in extra time. The Reserves were leading 4-3 but Castle equalised in the final minute of normal time.
Tenbury, currently bottom of Division One, were without a league game.
In Sportsjamkits.com Brown Clee went down at home in Division One to Dawley by 4-1 and Church Stretton also at home went down 5-2 to Wrockwardine.
In rugby, Ludtonians maintained their lead at the top of Midlands One with a fine away win at South Leicester by 8pts-3. There was also a good win for Ludlow in Midlands Three West North when they trounced Wolves by 37pts-19 away. This win takes them to fourth spot in the league.
In Midlands Four West North, Bishop's Castle and Cleobury Mortimer both lost, Castle by 43pts-5 away to Leek and Cleobury by 49pts-5 away to Tamworth.
In the local derby in Midlands Six West South West, Tenbury recorded a rare win in their 50th anniversary season by overcoming local rivals Clee Hill by 18pts-17.
