A MAN was airlifted to hospital last night (Monday) following a minor collision near Tenbury.

Emergency services were called to the A456 near the Peacock public house shortly after 5.30pm.

The driver of a white Citroen Dispatch van suffered injuries following a collision with a blue Vauxhall Vectra.

He was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham as a precaution, while the other driver was not injured.

Two fire crews from Tenbury also attended, while the road was closed until 9pm.

If anyone saw the crash or either vehicle beforehand, contact West Mercia police on 08457 444888 quoting 558S/110808.
