Police probe theft of signs
POLICE in Herefordshire are appealing for information over the theft of signs from the Lingen and Stapleton area in the north of the county.
The signs, made and owned by a resident of Brierley Hill, near the border with Presteigne, and close to the site of a proposed wind turbine farm at Stone Wall Hill, have been removed between Friday, June 27, and Sunday, June 29.
The yellow plywood signs, with the wording "No Wind Turbines", were removed from a number of locations - one from the roadside between Lingen and Brierley Hill, one from Willey crossroads and three from the Stapleton area.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lisa Hewitt in the Public Service Desk at Hereford Police Station on 08457 444888 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
