Neighbourhood Watch marks 25 years
NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch Awareness Week this week marks the organisation's 25th year and Shropshire police officers supporting the work of NHW co-ordinators.
In Shropshire alone there are 399 NHW schemes, which cover a total of 15,190 households.
"We are always keen to encourage more people to set up Neighbourhood Watch in their area," said Jade Smalley, Shropshire Police Division's new Neighbourhood Watch and Crimestoppers assistant.
For more information about Neighbourhood Watch in your area or how to set up a scheme, contact the Neighbourhood Watch Support Team at Shrewsbury Police Station on 08457 444888 ext 5799 or email jade.smalley@westmercia.pnn.police.uk
