LUDLOW MP Philip Dunne took petitions to Parliament this week over the planned closure of 14 post offices in the Ludlow Constituency.
Mr Dunne said: "I am very grateful to all 2,165 people who signed and returned petitions to me to highlight their concern about the possible loss of their post office. They were presented to the House of Commons as the consultation period closed."
He added: "I met post office managers last week to make a final plea to save as many post offices as possible. I also proposed more logical arrangements for continuing services to help local communities."
