Time running out for fuel claims
SHROPSHIRE pensioners are being urged to think ahead and take steps now to pay for next winter's heating bills.
People over 65 years of age will automatically receive the Winter Fuel Payment but those between the ages of 60 and 64 are missing out because they do not realise that they could also be entitled to help.
Anyone between the ages of 60 and 64 on September 23, 2007, can claim £200 towards the costs of heating their homes by posting their claim form for the Winter Fuel Payment before March 28, 2008. Forms are available by calling 08459 15 15 15.
